Ingredients
- French Beans – 200gm (chopped)
- Vegetable Oil or any type of coldpressed oil – 2 teaspoon
- Salt – To taste
- Chili powder -1 1/2 to 2 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder – 1/2 teaspoon
- Onion – 1 /2 (small size, chopped. I used 4 chopped shallots here.)
- Coconut grated – 1 to 1 1/2 teaspoon
- Mustard seeds – 1/2 teaspoon (to temper)
- Urad dhall – 1/2 teaspoon (to temper)
Preparation Method
Now add in the chopped onion and french beans. Add chili powder, salt, turmeric powder. Stir it and add some water to it (2 to 3 sip). (If you are using kadai add 1/4 cup water and close with lid. cook in stove top until it gets fully cooked). I here Pressure cook the beans mixture for 5 to 7 min in medium low flame.
Now open the pressure cooker, 5 min after switching off the stove. If you see some watery consistency, keep it in medium low flame until it has 1 to 2 spoon masala water. Don’t cook it too dry. Then add the grated coconut. Stir it for 1 minute & switch off the stove.
Juicy & soft Beans Poriyal is ready. Can be served with any type of curry meals.
