I usually use home made milagai thool for making all dishes. I will use red chili powder only for specific items like fish curry, all type of fries (fish, chicken, cauliflower, okra, etc), puli kuzhambhu, kara kuzhambhu, etc. The chili powder I mention in my food blog is only this kuzhambhu milagai thool. So I am giving the measurements of ingredients below for kuzhambhu milagai thool.
- Dry red chili – 250gm
- Coriander seeds – 250gm
- Black pepper – 25 gm
- Cumin seeds – 25 gm
Just dry roast all the ingredients mentioned above separately. Allow them to cool and grind it to powder form.
